The experience with you was ok. The hotel took a while before they found the reservation but eventually they did (they had a lot of little handwritten notes). However, I booked for two people, and we were initially put into different houses. Only after we didn't agree at registration did they change it to two rooms next to each other, against an extra fee. The rooms were acceptable for the price and comfort level of the hotel.
The hotel advertised that there was Western and Chinese breakfast, but when we arrived, we were told that there was only Chinese breakfast - it was served to crowds of 300 as a buffet. It was pretty much a battle to get to food (I enjoyed it - it was experiencing China-but it wasn't what I had expected)-they were accommodating and brought some very sweet coffee for an extra 10 Yuan since coffee was not included in the Chinese breakfast buffet. We knew the location was a little outside the city and that was fine.

Firstly, we are sincerely sorry for your unsatisfied experience in the hotel. For the breakfasts, we have just contacted with the hotel again. They said they do offer both Chinese and Western breakfasts. However, for the western breakfasts, you need to book them in advance. In that case, they can prepare for you well. Hope for your better understanding.

The hotel has 2 sections, the Lobby tower was renovated recently and the room is quite large and comfort.
I like the restaurant, Breakfast was just OK, because lots of tourist join in the morning, but Lunch and Dinner is very tasty and reasonable in price.
Location is quite close to everything, but need about 10rmb cab to go around.
Overall, i think is a very good deal in Chengde.
Will return again.

The hotel has a good location, with easy access to the city center and the rail way station, the hotel is also near to the Imperial Summer Villa. The hotel room is very clean and spacious, all facilities in the room work very well. the hotel staffs are very helpful and courteous, I really enjoyed my staying in this hotel.
In addition, I would like to highly recommend TCG booking service; I made many reservations with TCG during my trip in China. Thank you for your excellent service.

The 8 of us in this particular tour group are disgusted at the cleanliness of the whole bathrooms. It was very dirty, some of us actually skipped bathing ! Please scrubs your bathrooms! And please change the stained dirty carpet floors too !
