About Qingdao Dongfang Hotel:
Location: very quite area but took little bit time to reach the place by even local taxi.
Rooms: First time I stayed in such a small room in China ( Probably the room category we selected may be of wrong choice).
Staff: Reception was managed well with English speaking.
Restaurant: Breakfast was of OK type
Overall: Not a bad choice for the price we paid

Please excuse my late answer. It is quite easy to assess the different hotels.
The Qingdao Dongfang Hotel and Huang Jia Hotel, Chongqing have been okay, let me say very good. I would say between 1 and 5 (5 the best; regarding price, service, performance etc) 4. The Xian Hotel, Xian was not really okay. I would say definitely not more than 2.

Frankly speaking, the facilities in this hotel are dated, but everything is clean and tidy in the room. The location is great. It's very near by the seaside and sight-seeing place. The service in the hotel is excellent. From receptionist to the assistant manager, they are all very helpful and polite. The breakfast need to be improved its variety and quality.

Very small room, not so clean, old windows (have to be renovated). The door of the room has been broken up in the past, not professional repaired. Breakfast buffet is not for European people, cheap but not good.
