Frankly speaking, this is a faded 4 star. Inefficient and confused service. When I checked in, it wastes me nearly 20 minutes to find the booking and room though I was very tired. The room I had was shabby but clean. The lobby bar had a barmaid but no drinks. I don't mean no alcoholic drinks. No liquid at all!!: Guest Name:slocombeNationality : Updated:2008-1-22

This is a pleasant hotel well situated in town. It doesn? have the flair or quality of service as the Holiday inn, but is a slightly cheaper, good alternative for the business traveler. The room I had was clean and reasonably well furnished with a typical hard bed, a shower stall bath, an in-room safe, TV with CNN, BBC and HBO, and free unlimited internet access. However, few of the staff speaks English (except reception) and the food is so-so. Don't expect western food in portions you are accustomed to back home. The Steaks resemble shoe soles, get a taxi to the Holiday Inn instead. Chinese food on the other hand is very good. Overall, it's probably the best hotel in Qinhuangdao, but if you're looking for tourist sites, I'd probably try Shanhaiguan, as it's closer.: Guest Name:Joan MoesNationality : Updated:2008-1-22

The hotel looks very good and modern and the hotel room looks beautiful and comfortable, but the room is not spacious. The hotel provides varied delicious food; both Chinese food and Western food are provided in the hotel. My wife and my daughter like the food very much, thus we booked the daily breakfast. The room price is also acceptable. Some hotel staffs were helpful and could speak little English, but some of them were not kind and they even ignore the request of their guests. When I checked into the hotel, the receptionist asked me to wait, and I waited for almost 2 hours. I think they should make improvement of the reception service.
