My experience with this hotel was considerably different than the Australian's. The staff were most helpful -- all I talked to had a working knowledge of English, and some were quite proficient. The room was small, but clean and comfortable with desk, chair, TV, wardrobe (and hangers) -- even complimentary bottles of water. The bed was firm, but a proper hotel bed (not a thin mattress). It is easy to get to from Line 4 Nanpu Bridge subway station: use Exit 2 from the station, turn right on Guohuo Rd., turn right at the first street (traffic light), go as far as you can (T-junction), turn right at the Trustmart & KFC to the first street to the left (takes you under the overhead road). After crossing under the road, the hotel is on the left side. The address is clearly marked on the wall near the entrance. After entering the driveway, bear to the right. NOTE: The hotel's name is "Starway", (not Rayfont) on the sign. Maybe a 5-minute walk from the subway.

My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel; sure the rooms are clean and adequate. Except the softness of the bed was equivalent to a Freeway surface.
It was difficult to find anyone who spoke English, therefore customer relations and travel advice in regard to sightseeing was non existent. It took us at least 8 hrs to obtain 2 extra pillows from the desk staff. Sorry could not recommend this hotel to anyone.

My room is clean for stay but too small for me. It is lack of lit surrounding the hotel, as well as short of signboard to indicate the hotel location. No much choice for TV channel.

Booking for room is convenience, easy and efficient. It would better if there is computer provided in the room or laptop rent for internet service. I am really enjoy my trip in Shanghai, and will seek TCG booking service in next trip to China.
