The hotel was located in a area where we could mix with the chinese people who are friendly and warm. We shopped in the same markets, had dresses tailor made for us and eat the food from the vendors. The hotel was clean the staff custesy never a problem and even when we created a problem with the safe our request for help was quickly granted. The rooms were cleaned when we were not there. The security was provided not that we needed any. The desk staff was informative and helpful with directions and sights to see. All in all it was a great place to stay. The hotel I booked is also very nice. I visited the famous people square and the bund, which is very close to the hotel. The bund in the evening is very busy but beautiful. You should also go for visiting if you never come to Shanghai. I stayed one deluxe room during my stay. The room is very spacious and comfortable. Everything works well.
