I was very satisfied with my stay at this hotel. I had a single room on the 28th floor with spectacular views of the Shanghai skyline, and the room itself was very tastefully decorated and quite comfortable. Nice to have several TV channels in English and Japanese to choose from as well. Did not like the fact that the internet was not free, but even so it didn't end up being too expensive. The pool and exercise areas are not quite as luxurious as they may appear in the photos, but they were still nice amenities to have, and I particularly enjoyed using the sauna after being out in the winter air all day.
The location is pretty convenient, nothing is too far in a taxi and there is a metro station for Line 9 nearby. A line 4 metro station is also only about a 15 min walk away. Only problem I had while staying there is the safe in my room broke, but the reception staff was very helpful and fixed it for me right away. There was always someone with decent English so I never had any problems communicating.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you are traveling alone as the single room is a great deal.
