My wife and I spent 5 days in the Hotel on a business trip and found it to be very confortable. I would agree with other guest about the sigh. It is difficult to see on the approach. The location is not ideal for visiting the lake but is only a short taxi ride Guest Name : Mr. Murtagh(Guest) Nationality : Irish Updated : 2007-11-22 2:18:00 The Hotel itself was fine. We found it to be clean and modern. It's location was ok, although if we were to visit that city again, a hotel nearer to the lake would be more convenient. Overall, we found the staff to be extremely poor compared with what we experienced at other similar standard/star rated hotels in China. They were very poorly trained in general and were unable to readily resolve the problem of our room being close to the lift, despite the hotel being fairly low occupancy. The whole experience of checking in (that took an unacceptable 20 minutes) and then ensuring we were given a room away from the lifts (that took an additional 45 minutes or so). Whilst we eventually were allocated a nice room away from the lifts, the time the problem took to resolve was completely unacceptable. Certainly, we will not use that hotel again due to this experience. Our requests to speak with the hotel genaral manager were denied. We completed a guest questionnaire and sent it for the attention for the general manager. We have not received any response, but guess this is just a continuation of the inefficiency we experienced whilst checking in at the hotel. The only comment was that the taxi drivers did not know the hotel and could not see any sign from the road so we had problems when using a taxi. The hotel's sign is small and can only be seen from the square in front of the hotel; no sign on the side of the hotel, which is how the taxi will approach the hotel from the main road.
