What can I say? More than excellent. The Manager Wang Nan and his staff were absolutely great and the room was superb. All staff speaks and writes good to excellent English. The hotel is in a great convenient position to get just about anywhere in the city by public bus. All you need to do is get a very cheap map from the hotel and any of the staff will explain how to get anywhere you want to go. Remember with a city the size of this with a 20 million population you need to get there by some sort of transport. The best and most interesting is by public bus. Wang and his staff will tell you how. A great experience and a very homely and friendly boutique hotel. Wang cares for his guests as if they were family.

I will recomend this hotel for tourists. Not only do the the staff at the front speak good english but so did the girl in the diningroom. (Food is good too!) I will recommend this hotel for tourists. Not only does the staff at the front speak good English but so did the girl in the dining room. (Food is good too!) If I could I would give four and a half for cleanness. It is well above Chinese hotels normal standard. Nice quiet place and just a stones throw from the West Gate of the Temple of Heaven. A few good places to eat through the little mall if you like mum and pop cafes selling "normal" Chinese food! It is a little hard to find. It is next door to the Tian Qiao Theater, Look for the sign on the corner roof! (You can also see this sign from the clock tower if you look north. You will what I mean when you get there!). Tours can be arranged here too so they can make your visit easy if you like to work without a set holiday plan.

The hotel was truly wonderful. I stayed for a week and felt like family by the end of my stay. I think they should advertise more openly that they have airport transfer service included in their rates, because that is a HUGE plus! Especially when arriving from overseas after a long flight. That was wonderful!

The daily breakfast buffet was more than adequate, and the room was very comfortable, with the slight exception of the bed -- which was more like a box spring, so a little hard, and hard to get used to. I was so tired each night that I did manage to sleep well. The location was a bit challenging for taxi drivers to find, but it was well located for the Temple of Heaven. It was a long commute for me during the Olympics, and the fact that it isn't in a highly commercial area made it a bit more difficult to find good dining options nearby. But overall, I really enjoyed staying there, and had a very pleasant experience.

Thank you for your service.
Best Regards,
Lisa Green

Mrs. Edith Jacques from Belgium said:

I was indeed very happy with the service provided by Travel China Guide and the RJ Brown Hotel.

I had only one concern, and that was when I was requested to fax my credit card details as I was arriving after 6 PM on my day of check in. My problem was that the numbers provided didn't work despite me trying 4-5 times to fax it. Finally I was able to scan it and email it through. I think you should automatically suggest both options to your customers. This will ease the frustration especially if you consider the time zone differences between China and other countries.

The RJ Brown hotel - I was very happy with this hotel. The staff were very friendly, very helpful and always had a smile on their faces. I would recommend this to my friends. In terms of location, it was fine for me. Only one problem, not many taxi drivers knew where it was. But I guess this is no fault of the hotel, but linked rather to the fact that Beijing is so big, with many hotels. Once again, thank you for the services provided. I wish you well in your preparation for Beijing 2008.

Kind regards,
