I stayed on September 2008 with my colleague, although that the Hotel is quite old but we find out that the rooms was nice and clean. I think they have renovated some of their rooms because my bathrooms looks quite new. The Reception spoke standard english, MRT is about 15 minutes walk. I would like to thank TCG for their assistant. Thanks.

Dear Ms Qian, My comments on the Metropole are that it is in need of refurbishment, especially to the bathrooms. Other than that, it was an excellent location, being only a short walk from the Bund and a slightly longer walk to everywhere else. The service from yourselves was fine. Thank you. Hi, "We stayed in a delux room in April 2008. It was a very good hotel and the location is hard to beat. A lot of very good eats in the area that were much better than most on Nanjing Road. The hotel itself was nice and clean if a little dated. Staff were excellent and spoke English which made life easy for us. Delux rooms also had internet in the rooms which was very convenient. As for TCG, they were nothing short of excellent. Even our last minute change of travel dates were dealt with quickly and without any fuss. Their e-mail with the Chinese name for the hotel was also most important and useful. Can't recommend them highly enough." Thanks Omid
