Shanghai Piao Ying Hotel, ideally situated in the city center and at the south end of the Zhapu Food Street, is close to the Bund and Sichuan Road Pedestrian Street. 10 km from the railway station and 15km to Hongqiao Airport, the hotel has 88 rooms ranging from standard rooms to deluxe suites, all equipped with TV, IDD and central air-conditioning. The hotel has a Chinese restaurant, musical bar, sauna center, multi-function hall, KTV room and other entertainment facilities. Just to say the TCG booking service was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel so much so that we stayed an extra 2 nights. The location is very good and no problems with language for me although I must add that my wife is Chinese so that was a definite plus. The twin bedded room (large beds) was clean, spacious and comfortable. Front of house staff very helpful and friendly. However, if Westerners don't like Chinese food this is not the place for them. If they do, then this location is superb with so many restaurants, food kiosks and food stalls in the next street and throughout the vicinity. Also good shopping in the area. My wife really liked it.
Would recommend this hotel.

The room was ok, big and relatively clean, well, I wasn't very happy with the bathroom though. The service was ok, too. Didn't really like their attitude, but nothing horrible. The breakfast was hideous. But I liked the location of the hotel.

The room was OK, just a bit stale could of been aired out before we arrived. Food was not for westerners, but that is OK it is in China after all. Not bad location. If you are interested as part of your site, some bus and train schedules in English would be nice to have.

As for Shanghai Piaoying Hotel, its location is good. Room was large but dirty. Staff was not at all helpful, not polite and did not speak a word of English. Laundry service was very expensive and very bad (damaged clothing and unreturned clothing without having had the chance to check the returned goods). No possibility to complain either. All in all not a good experience.

Hotel staff was nice, helpfull n can speak English quite well.
Location of the hotel was perfect, near from all the place we want to visit.
The room I booked not so good, little bit dark and smelly, maybe comes from the floor mat and i think the room need renovation.
