The hotel is an average three star hotel and you pay for what you get. The staff speaks English and is helpful. The room provides a computer with free internet service. Room is average size, clean though not well lighted. The pillow is too soft and the mattress like most hotels in China has a firm support. Not recommended for family with children as you can have dubious massage services provided in rooms and there are cards slipped under yr door also providing massage services. We picked the hotel cos of the proximity to the commercial luohu shopping centre. And the metro station at Luohu. The hotel provides free shuttle service to the Luohu shopping centre which is very regular and takes only 5 mins. There are two restaurants nearby but advisable to take your meals elsewhere where there are better choices like Dongmen square, 10 mins ride away or at the fifth floor of the Luohu commercial centre at Arcadia Restaurant which serves good Cantonese cuisine and dim sum at affordable prices. Our bookings through travelchinaguide were fast and efficient with no hassles.

I stayed at the hotel for 10 nights in August 2011. Firstly they have a shuttle bus which is in the Luohu station (Hong Kong end) in the car park A15. The hotel is okay for someone looking for a nice clean place to lay their head. It’s a 10 min straight stroll to the station if you want exercise and don't want to take the shuttle. Next door to a good massage parlor cost about 200 RMs for 2 hr massage very good. Restaurants either side. I would stay there again. Didn’t have time for breakfast and ate out everywhere ...my spirit of adventure. The rooms are nothing exciting but they are okay and well sized for China. Lifts work hot water what more can I say.

It’s good that the hotel provide shuttle service. Unfortunately the first time we reached there in Luohu station, we could not locate the pick up point as it did not indicate Shanshui Trends Hotel name on the van. Took a cab instead with luggage. Unfortunately the hotel is too near from Luohu station that the cab driver is not too happy. Its only when we took the shuttle service from the hotel tat we are more familiar that A15 is the car park lot number at the basement covered car park lot and not the building number. Guess after being familiar with the pick up point that, everything else became smooth. Overall it’s fine.

Overall this hotel is good for staying. Location is good. From hotel to dongmen around 20 mins.(walking) near subway station. Nice clean and easy to communication because the staff can speak English...
