The Sheraton in Guilin was nice, but we didn't feel deserved five stars. We had a minor problem with some laundry and on the Saturday night they had booked their main dining room for a wedding. The other dining room therefore became overloaded. We had reservations for a night cruise and needed dinner before going out. Once we made our needs known a table was made available but the service was slow. The buffet breakfast service was not as good as we had experienced when we stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Shanghai. We think the hotel is nice but feel the staff are not as well trained as they should be. Overall, we were very satisfied of the accommodation you arranged for us. Here are some specific comments. Thanks again, and maybe another time soon. We found the operation efficient and friendly, despite my delaying the final request. We are impressed. We certainly will look for you next time. I found the general staff very helpful and professional. Especially, we liked the cuisine and the staff at the GuoTai Chinese restaurant. The waiters, both men and women were polite and efficient. I thought that they have been trained at some school. I even imagined that the Canadian waiters could be sent to learn in Guilin Sheraton on how to become professional. There was one strange thing with the cab service to the airport. There were cabs waiting just along the hotel which I could pick up and at the same time the hotel offered its own arrangement, but at double the going rate. I understand the hotel service is probably of more reliable quality, but wondered about the higher rate. The location of the hotel is very good and the Guilin surroundings are fantastic! We enjoyed our stay and will use your service again. Guest Name : Mr. BINYAMIN We loved the Sheraton Guillin. The help was so courteous and so helpful, couldn't have been better. We also loved the location! Right next to the river on a wide tree lined street with lots of space to stroll, meet people and enjoy Guillin.
