I stayed in this Hotel for 2 days. I had a very hectic schedule but the room was not taken care of properly, I had to suffer from mosquito bites because of bad air conditioning, staff manners were not responsive; nevertheless some of the staff were friendly. In general the hotel is nice but staff and facilities are so so. This hotel is nice for people who don't have any business, just fun and ask for nothing and do not know how to complain about bad services.

Excellent. Chinese hotels surprise again and again.
If you want slightly better air and not too much noise,
perhaps a beautiful Botanic Garden alongside the hotel
this hotel will be ideal.

Maybe less so for businessman in a hurry or nightbirds.
I only wonder if the hotel lobby & restaurant might not be a little
cold during wintertime.
Of course one has also to be aware, that the hotel is a bit off-center.
During rush hours a taxi to Ren Min area could need 45 minutes. At cost 40 Yuan upwards.

Other alternative is of course the Metro from South Station. Taxi: 12 Yuan.
Even if you speak some Chinese the taxi return trip will cost you never less than 20 Yuan.
Why, I never found out!

This hotel is well located near the Shanghai South Railway Station. Very convenient for those to catch the train at Shangai South Station. The hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff are friendly. The price is reasonable. I was very happy with TCG recommendation when I first contacted them to get a hotel near to the South Station. This is Excellent !

Dear Lena,

My comment for Grand Skylight Gardens Hotel Shanghai is excellent.
Regret I must shorten my stay due to sudden request to move to Hangzhou. The hotel was nice, the Chinese food in the Hotel restaurant is fantastic. Rest assures that for my future trip to S'hai definitely will back to stay in this hotel.

Best regards
