The staff service is poor as they have no knowledge of tourist attraction and information. We asked them for the bus service to the airport and they directed us to the place where the bus goes from Guangzhou to Macau (we asked them twice and they gave us the same answer). We asked them to recommend restaurant for Cantonese food and they gave us the worse out of all the restaurants we explore on our own. We asked them for the Daishatou terminal where we can take the Pearl River cruise - they told us there is no such terminal and they directed us to Tian Zi terminal. When we were there, we manage to book a cruise from Daishatou terminal which is much lower in fares. They need training on tourist information to serve their guests better. I rather they be honest and told me they do not know then provide us with all the wrong information. Booking experience through TCG Booking: Good

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights towards the end of December 2010 and I was disappointed. This is not worth 4 stars - 3 stars at best. The room was very basic, the furniture was very old fashioned (black ash, which went out of fashion 30 years ago and cheap looking) The television must have been 20 years out of date and the black ash furniture it was on had broken under the weight of the TV!!! The staff service was lacking the personal touch. We did not eat there - just as well!! The shower facility was a little old and dirty. The hotel needs to spend a lot of money on this establishment, or it will end up with no star ratings.

The hotel was pretty standard. We had 2 rooms, supposedly both were on Business Room, but one of the rooms was still occupied so we got upgraded. The upgraded room was nice; it has its own living room. The only problem we had was the bad smell of the bathroom - we thought it came from the toilet (closet). It smells like a public toilet when you enter the bathroom or even when you are near the toilet. We were moved back to Business Room once the room was available, but the same problem happened. The toilet smell was worse. We had to close the toilet/closet lid , then only there was no more smell. It was just so bad, that you don't feel like using the bathroom/toilet at all. I understand the other Business Room did not have this problem.

There was not really a No-Smoking Room in this hotel, I think. In that case, please notify that they do not have No-Smoking room available. It was obvious, the cigarette ashtrays were provided in the bathrooms and in living room. The location was pretty good as it also has a 7-Eleven convenient store just next to the lobby, easy to grab something for snacks or drinks.
