Spring Garden Courtyard Hotel (West Garden) is a splendid Si He yuan hotel of complete Chinese mode which is a typical courtyard of Qing dynasty. Wonderful place, recommend to anyone staying in Beijing, such character and charm and really homely. Staff very friendly. Room beautiful and individual, attended to daily, always warm (radiator and reverse cycle). Location- 2 subway stations very close, Tianenmen sq and sights too far to walk to (in winter at least) but taxis easy to get and subway is great. Chinese and western breakfast offered and both acceptable.

I have been there 2 times, 1 night each and everything was fine, the rooms are beautiful and fully equiped, service is excellent, the girls speak good English and they were very helpful and friendly. Great hotel, a very unique place to stay, I absolutely recommend it!

I went to Beijing for a Scientific conference. I stayed at the Spring garden hotel together with two of my colleagues. We decided not to stay at the conference accommodation situated at one of the very large conference hotels. We were delighted with our choice of this renovated courtyard style hotel. It has character in an old part of the city. The rooms were nicely decorated and very clean. What you see in the web images is what you get. Breakfasts were a treat and satisfying way to start the day. The girls at the desk were very helpful and they had good recommendations for meals. Internet access is good. It is very close to old Beijing, parks etc. I would go back and stay there and I would be very happy to recommend this hotel to any friend and family.
