The hotel is just close the beach. My stay at this hotel was wonderful and the staff is really nice and can speak English. This is a small hotel, next to big and luxurious one but the service seems more "personal" and familiar.

Breakfast, internet, facilities everything is done to enjoy your stay. They also have tourism packages which are cheap and really cool.

The Sunny Sanya Family INN is located in front of a dive tour shop and a few steps beyond that is the Dadonghai (bay) ocean. The Dadonghai bay city center is an easy walk (10 min) either on the beach or on the board walk at the beach edge, which is lined with bars and restaurants. I think for the money this place is great. The staff are really great people, the rooms are clean with internet access and satellite TV (HBO, STARS). They will also arrange tours to some of the other attractions on the island (monkey islet, diving, etc.)
