A very reasonable hotel for the price. Also, was very central for the places we needed to go up on that end of the city (train station, North Pagoda, Handicrafts Museum, Silk Museum).

The facilities are looking a bit old, but otherwise everything is very good. The room clean and well serviced daily. Reception staff helpful and their English is quite good. The hotel serves an excellent breakfast for RMB 10, and there are restaurants very close by on both sides of the hotel. It is very convenient for the train station and the North long-distance bus station. City buses pass right by the front door for most parts of the city. Very good value for the money.

We reserved through TravelChinaGuide and it worked well (6 rooms). I would recommend using them again (and will do so). Much better than calling on the phone. The hotel had our rooms ready when we arrived.

For the money, I thought this was a great value and would stay there again. Its proximity to the train station, the train station's associated bus station, and the north bus station makes this a good location in my mind. The only issues were (1) the wall paper in the room was in bad shape and peeling, (2) we stored our luggage with them and they were very confused about whose was whose when we went back to pick it up. The A/C worked well (it was permanently set to 25C and was just right). The staff was helpful but spoke very limited English.

The hotel locates at convenience place for sight seeing. You can get tourist buses to visit most of the tourist spots.
But, it's very difficult to get taxi. I had spent half an hour to get taxi to train station, which is just 2 minutes away.
And don't forget to print out Chinese address of Hotel for taxi drivers.
