Taihu Hotel, Wuxi is located atop Houwan Mountain, one of the 72 peaks on the Shore of Taihu Lake. Covering an area of 18 hectares, the hotel was once regarded as one of China's top ten garden hotels. It owns 257 deluxe rooms and suites distributed in the main building atop the hill and the garden villas. Each room is fully equipped with safe box, 24-hour hot water, IDD telephones, TV with satellite channels, hairdryer, and 24-hour room service. Advanced facilities such as the independent drinking water system, private bathroom and bathroom TV are available in deluxe standard rooms.

Taihu Hotel is a five star hotel, the hotel is located near the beautiful Taihu Lake and some of the famous sights are nearby. As a five star hotel, the room price is not too high. The room is clean. The room is equipped with internet access according to the information on the hotel website, but the room I stayed did not have broad-band access. The worst thing is that the TV did not work when I stayed in the room, I asked the hotel staff about this problem, and they said they would amend the TV next day. Actually I only stayed in the hotel for one night due to my business. In all, the hotel is just ok.
