General

Pingyao Tian Yuan Kui Guesthouse is a four-star folk guesthouse assessed by the Pingyao Tourism Bureau. It is located in the middle section of the Ming and Qing Dynasties Street, the most prosperous street in the Pingyao Ancient City. Five reception halls whose Chinese and western restaurants are constructed in antique style spread out along the street. Walking through the lobby are courtyards with old houses which seems like a miniature of The Grand courtyard of the Qiao family (the family courtyard of a famous Shanxi merchant). Narrow lanes paved with flag stones connecting the antehall, aisles and each courtyard, with groups of stone carvings scattered at corners. The stone carvings, representing auspiciousness, are in elegant decorations and precious antiques.

I was very very happy with the room. It was the middle of winter, so it was very quiet. It was very clean and had all of the amenities that I needed. The staff was friendly and helpful and helped me get a train ticket the next day. I had a foot massage in my room, which they also arranged. Excellent experience.

First of all, the service of TCG is excellent, as well when you order flights or train tickets. Don't hesitate.

Of all the hotels we booked in China, this is the friendliest one. The staff speaks excellent English, and will answer your questions correctly. The rooms are very nice and it's nice to stay in an old guesthouse. The only small problem we had is the credit card couldn't be used.

My stay in the hotel is an excellent and great experience. Located in the center of Pingyao, the hotel's service is tip-top, warm and friendly. All the facilities are clean and well maintained. (For us 5 stars, not because of the luxury just the service)

Booking experience through TCG Booking Center: We were very surprised about the correctness and excellent service, at the hotel receptions we were announced and got a good service. Traveling in China with your bookings, there are no problem at all, and even more efficient although in Europe. For us you earn 5 stars.
