If you are unsure which bus to take, show the map/picture of where you wanna go to and local people will tell you. If they are on the same bus as you, they will also make sure that you get off at the right station. If a conductor is on the bus, she/he will also remind you.

If you arrive at the train station, there will be NO NEED to take a taxi (find one and bargain for the price as meters are never used, be careful they charge per person!!!! (15 yuan) and not per destination). You can easily reach the hotel by PUBLIC BUS. if you step out of the station, looking at the city wall, then turn to your right (on the left you will find the long distance bus stations and taxis) and walk about 5 minutes to the public bus stop. You can't miss it, as you see many people and busses stopping there frequently. You need to take 205 or 206 and get off at the drum/bell tower station, meaning if you are able to see the roundabout of the bellower, you should move to the back door to get off. The whole tour costs 1 rmb per person and takes about 10 -15 minutes without traffic and about 20 - 30 minutes with traffic jam. And then just follow the map. It takes another 3-5 minutes to walk there. I didn't have any problems finding the hotel. Keep in mind that taxis are also stuck in the same traffic jam.

Staff spoke very good English and was helpful. I already could check in at 9.00 am. The room is very clean for Chinese standards and a small selection of complimentary items are available (tooth brush, shower cap,etc)

The tourism information is just across the street of the hotel and provides free maps and relevant English speaking information.

The connected restaurant provides some basic Chinese food. Nevertheless, it is a bit overpriced. I would recommend eating in the Muslim Street.

As a previous poster said, the hotel is hard to find. It is at the end of the little street were you seeing a lot of printing shops. It is right in the centre of town. Close to the airport bus stop which goes every 20 minutes (25 Y) it takes about an hour. It is a 10 minute walk to the "Bar street” Old Harry is a nice bar.

Hotel is clean and staff is friendly, only a few speak some English. The Muslim quarter behind the Tourist - Info is a nice part to take some pictures. Riding a bike on the wall, entrance south-end is fun (15km for 20 Y). To see the terra cotta army, take the bus and forget the tour (other attractions are a waste of time and money).

Nearby to bell tower, city wall, old mosque, muslim street, etc. Very convenient for food with few restaurants nearby as well as walking distance to the shopping complex. The hotel staff and the travel agent are friendly and helpful. Also the price is reasonable. Facilities are quite average but it's reasonable for the rate offered. Provide free internet at the lobby. The restaurant in the hotel provides lots of local food with reasonable price which is quite similar to the restaurant surrounding the hotel. Negative impression is that the hotel guest were quite noisy at night (talk loudly at corridor, bang the room's door). Well, this is China. Bathroom is a bit smelly. Might be due to the sewerage system.

TravelChinaGuide has been terrific good - easy and efficient - superb service! Questions and problems related to the flight and room reservation were replied within short period of time. Will be dealing with TCG again.
