Lakeview Xuanwu Hotel, with easy access for transportation, is located in CBD of Hunan Road. It is only ten minutes' drive to Nanjing Railway Station, International Exhibition Center as well as the highway. It just takes 40 minutes to the airport highway. Furthermore, there's direct subway to the hotel. Opened in 1986 and renovated in 2004, Lakeview Xuanwu Hotel offers 269 guest rooms and suites with elegant decoration. From the rooms, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the city and the Xuanwu Lake. At the top of the hotel is the Lakeview Revolving Restaurant where the chefs cook varieties of tasty food on site. Guests can overlook the Purple Mountain and the Xuanwu Lake when the palace is revolving. It is absolutely a nice place to fully enjoy the charming cityscapes of ancient capital of Nanjing.

The booking experience was very efficient and customer-friendly.
We visited Nanjing by train and found the hotel quite easily. It is well-positioned and our room had a spectacular view of the lake. The room was quite comfortable and well-appointed. In most areas of the hotel the staff were friendly and efficient.
Areas for improvement include - The service in the piano bar in the lobby was good, but in the revolving restaurant (which we visited twice over the weekend), the waitresses appeared to be a little abrupt. This may have been due to poor language skills, but to be told while eating 'Hurry up. Eat quickly. We are closing' is not a 'customer focused' approach. This took place at breakfast. If you want diners to leave the premises by a certain time, you should perhaps consider when the food service should end, then allow sufficient time for the diners to eat their meal in peace, without being badgered by the table staff. During our dinner experience we were not seated in a 'revolving' area of the revolving restaurant and therefore missed out on the magnificent view it affords. It might have been better had the fact that there were two separate areas to sit (i.e. one that revolved and one that didn't) we might have made a different choice.
