Lakeview Xuanwu Hotel is a luxurious five-star hotel, and the only member of the prestigious WORLDHOTELS accreditation in Nanjing. The hotel provides a wonderful location in the city centre adjacent to the beautiful Xuanwu Lake. Around her are shopping malls, offices and cultural centers with a convenient high quality traffic system.

Located in the Central Business District (CBD) of Hunan Road, Lakeview Xuanwu Hotel is only 10-minute drive from the Railway Station, International Exhibition Center and easy access to the high-way, and it takes 40 minutes to Nanjing Lukou International airport. The airport will offer a one-way taxi service costing 40 minutes at the price of ¥160. The shuttle buses will depart every 30 minutes to the airport with several stops on the way (Nanjing railway station is the starting spot).

The hotel is comprised of 258 well-appointed guestrooms and suites ranging from 25 to 270 square meters offering pampering and exclusivity.

VIP Boxes: 1st and 2nd floor. The hotel comprises of over 20, ultra-private, luxurious VIP Rooms. In addition, the restaurants feature delicacies such as bird's nest, abalone, shark's fin. Renowned Chinese cuisines from Huaiyang and Jingguang are also offered. Lunch: 11:30-13:30, Dinner: 17:30-20:30.

Le Papillion: 1st floor. Le Papillion enjoys a high reputation for its well-renowned chefs and celebrated dishes together in a relaxing and elegant ambience. Lunch: 11:30-14:00; Dinner: 17:30-21:00.

Lakeview Revolving Restaurant: 20th floor. The restaurant offers traditional Chinese and Western cuisines in the tranquil Revolving Restaurant on the 20th floor. Buffet style breakfast and dinner spreads are offered, including seafood delicacies and snacks of different styles. The restaurant offers a breath taking, panoramic views, of the city all while enjoying 5-Star foods from around the world. Breakfast: 06:30- 10:00. Dinner: 18:00-21:00.

Lobby Lounge: 1st floor. Enjoy a cup of English tea at the cozy lobby lounge to escape the bustling city of Nanjing. The lobby atmosphere provides a graceful atmosphere for both business meetings and plush relaxation. Hours: 07:00-24:00.

The booking experience was very efficient and customer-friendly.

We visited Nanjing by train and found the hotel quite easily. It is well-positioned and our room had a spectacular view of the lake. The room was quite comfortable and well-appointed. In most areas of the hotel the staff were friendly and efficient.

Areas for improvement include - The service in the piano bar in the lobby was good, but in the revolving restaurant (which we visited twice over the weekend), the waitresses appeared to be a little abrupt. This may have been due to poor language skills, but to be told while eating 'Hurry up. Eat quickly. We are closing' is not a 'customer focused' approach. This took place at breakfast. If you want diners to leave the premises by a certain time, you should perhaps consider when the food service should end, then allow sufficient time for the diners to eat their meal in peace, without being badgered by the table staff. During our dinner experience we were not seated in a 'revolving' area of the revolving restaurant and therefore missed out on the magnificent view it affords. It might have been better had the fact that there were two separate areas to sit (i.e. one that revolved and one that didn't) we might have made a different choice.

We loved the hotel and would thoroughly recommend it to everyone. Fantastic reception staff, lovely rooms and the restaurant was great. The breakfast was wonderful. Excellent location near the lake and many restaurants and shops within walking distance. Really excellent hotel.
