I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the excellence booking service that TCG had provided for our China trip in November 2006. With your help, we were able to get a quite room at Ocean Plaza Apartment in GuangZhou. We were satified with the services at Ocean, especially the friendly staffs at the front desk. We would consider staying at Ocean if we have another chance to visiting Guangzhou again. T. It's very clean and the facility is all right. It's quite good value for money. I didn't mind about the location and surroundings because I could take a taxi to go wherever I wanted to. The taxi is quite cheap and you can find one very easily. However, I prefer the location of Lido Hotel. Regarding the staff service, I would say that it is so-so. They are not smiling and not much friendly. I think that for this hotel category, they should improve their spoken English. I liked this hotel overall and will probably stay there for my next trip to Guangzhou because the rooms were really nice. I could not say that for the staff of the Ocean Plaza Apartment Hotel, Guangzhou. While the room was perfect. I was very happy with it. The hotel's policies and staff were not customer oriented. For instance, one night I was eating in the hotel's Chinese restaurant and asked for the bill. I asked for the bill to be put on my hotel bill. They said that my deposit was not big enough. My deposit was supposed to be a little over 3,300 RMB. Well I gave 4,000 RMB instead. The bill was way less than the excess I had given. I was never so embarrased in my life. I have never ever been in a hotel where they do not allow you to charge meals to your room, and I have traveled all over the world. I paid cash and was mad. When I checked out, the hotel gave me back 600 RMB change. Again, the room was very nice, a one-bedroom suite on the 26th floor with a queen sized bed in the bedroom, a sitting room with a second TV and a computer room with broadband access and of course a bathroom.
