General
Yindo Hotel, Zhuhai is the first five-star hotel in the city. It is situated in the commercial center of Gongbei District which is known as the ‘golden area’. The hotel is adjacent to Macau cross the border checkpoint. It is 15 minutes drive from Jiuzhou Port Passenger Transport Center leading to Hong Kong and Shenzhen and 30 minutes drive from the airport. The hotel consists of 300 deluxe rooms featuring elegant decoration and matching business facilities. There are seven theme restaurants which can accommodating one thousand people dining at the same time, including the Huntress Grill serving western food, the Tea Palace featuring tea culture and Shanghai Restaurant, etc. The hotel offers multi-purpose conference rooms of different sizes, amenities, shopping center and necessary matching facilities.

The location is good, very close to the port to Macau, only by ten minutes walking. There are many restaurants and big shopping malls nearby. The transportation is also convenient, 45 minutes to the airport and 15 minutes to Jiuzhou port. The only flaw is that the hotel is not very new.

I think Yindo Hotel is the best value for a 5 star hotel in Zhuhai and it is a great place to stay if you want to get away from busy Hong Kong for a weekend. Prices are reasonable for the hotel rooms - you get a really nice big room for about US$100. The restaurants are good and food is always good quality. The staff is friendly and very helpful although you may have to ask specially for someone who speaks English well. The business centre has good computer services and is open early every day. The location is Gongbei is very good - only abut 10 minutes walk to the Macau border and close to lots of shopping. The taxi from the ferry terminal for Hong Kong takes only 10 minutes and costs 20 Yuan. I would recommend Yindo Hotel as an excellent choice for business or holiday travelers in Zhuhai.
TCG is my favorite hotel and travel service in China. They always respond quickly to my reservation requests and provide all the information I need to arrive and check in at my hotel efficiently. If I have to change my plans at the last minute or cancel my reservation, TCG will handle the communication with the hotel for me and I don't have to worry about it. I'd stayed at Yindo Hotel on Feb 14th. And I am very happy with my choice of this hotel, which I got it via the net. Appended are my input:
1) The hotel location is very central in region ... walking distance to shopping mart and eatery. However the front staff need to be more conversant in English.
2) TCG booking center: am very happy with their services.

My wife and I were happy with the overall experience during our recent stay at Yindo, Zhuhai. The room we had was big in size and the decor and arrangement suited our preference, though many items aged over time but at least the beddings and carpet were fairly good still and more importantly, clean. However, we did appreciate its a fairly old hotel but its still has its charm. We didn't have the opportunity to make much use of the other facilities like gym or swimming pool as it was still closed during the cold season. Eateries we patronised were the western grill, cafe and the foodstreet outlet where the food we consumed were to our satisfaction. The staff we encountered during our stay were all friendly and polite. As we can communicate in 'putonghua' too that went a long way. However, I don't quite understand at the reception while checking-in where I was told to place a deposit of Yuan 1,800 for the 3 days stay when the total room bill was not even expected to exceed Yuan 1,600. When I asked the receptionist why but I didn't get a reply. Also at the eateries, the impression I got was there was a preference for cash settlement over signing onto the room bill, perhaps I was wrong but I didn't asked. Though I did suspect that there could be some issue at those 'point of sales either that the online connectivity was not in place or the system was facing some down time.
Perhaps the hotel needs a quick makeover and a coat of fresh paint in order to restore to its old gloroius days. The hotel's location is superb with walking proximity to shopping areas and other amenities including the Gongbei Border Gate.
Online booking was straight forward and simple and its was with quick acknowledgement response time.
