Thank you for the hotel reservation and the inquiry about my stay in YueXiu Hotel. The following is my comment:

1. The stay in YueXiu hotel was excellent. The first credit to give I think was to all the guests who stayed there. Among the 3 weeks I stayed, there was only one night for about 10 minutes some people's noises combined with the sound of music instrument came from a nearby room. Most people did a great job to keep the hotel peaceful and quiet at night, a good condition for me to have a good night sleep. This atmosphere was in sharp contrasts to that of many other hotels I had stayed in the past. The facilities in the room were all very convenient: a refrigerator, a TV/computer combination, and even a safe. Since I stayed for quite a few days, I found all of these very necessary and helpful. The central air-conditioning was also a big plus, avoiding all the noises. The room was a bit small, but the value to price ratio was very good. The room was clean, and the shower was very easy to use. The most surprising was probably the "key-in" type of energy-saving electric design: you have to insert the room key into the slot near the door in order for the lights and TV to be turned on. This makes a lot of sense in the modern time of the energy-craving world. Perhaps the only improvement I could think of was to offer more choices for the blankets on the bed, with seasonal changes in mind. However, most hotels don't have blankets to suit all people's preferences.

2. The booking service you provided was very good. You responded to inquiries quickly, and offered both English and Chinese instructions. I called your service while in China, and the people who answered the phone seemed to know well about the questions I raised. Perhaps the only thing I would like to suggest is that you could probably work out with the hotel about the hotel rate a little differently. HOWEVER: suggest you have someone with you who is fluent in Chinese.
On arrival, the desk staff either could not --- or would not --- speak English. Would not even look me in the eye, and carried on the conversation exclusively with my Chinese companion. Which I thought was rather rude. On check-out, though, one staff member did say in English: please come back!
They did get me a taxi to take me to the airport.
Only one caveat about the room: the shower curtain was too short, and water repeatedly spilled onto the bathroom floor. Otherwise, the accommodations were adequate and comfortable. Location is excellent. Next door to the supermarket and department store. Subway stop at the door.

I had stayed there previously and was very happy to be staying there again. Its a very comfortable hotel with good service and an excelent location for downtown Beijing.

Yue Xiu Hotel was the standard I expected it to be, service was good and we had even the room ready before our check in time. For the future I recommend to have a notice on the websides about the perfect subway connection this hotel has. Subway is an ideal way of travelling in Beijing.
