Thank you, Mr. Peter for answering my question on 8/23. Please tell me how long would it take us to travel from Beijing Sunworld Hotel #88 Dengshikou ,Dengcheng District to China Daily at 15 Huixin Dongjie, Chaoyang District, so that we can schedule the time. Tt's the same route as you said 8/23 go to Dongdan Station and take subway 5 and get off at Huixinxijie and walk 600 meters and I can find China Daily? Thank you so much for your help.

Sep. 13,2009 01:44
Mr.peter(cn) replied:

Hi, hi, the route is almost the same. If you start from sunworld hotel, you need to walk 500 meters to dengshikou subway station and then take subway line 5 and get off at huixinjie. Then walk 600 meters to find china daily. I think the total time will be no more than 1 hour.

My female friend and I traveled from KL to Beijing via Tianjin last Aug 10-14, 2009. I took a shuttle bus from Tianjin Binhai Airport to Tianjin Train Station. Then I took the train only 30' to Beijing. But on the way return from Beijing to Tianjin, I got the UNFORGETABLE experience. After unboarded from the train in Tianjin Train Station, I asked to station officer where to get the shuttle bus to Tianjin International Binhai Airport. The officer said the bus number 621 which could be taken on the bus terminal in Tianjin Station Area. When I entered to the bus, I questioned to passangers but none (including the driver)understood an English, someone looked like wish to say.
With a believe that it was not far away, we joined the bus. Until almost 1 hour, I suspected the route and I questioned again to the young one who a bit understood English and with her sister handphone assistance, he suggested me to stop in one area and took/changed to another bus. It was actually on the highway road with the right and left villages area. We tried to wave our hands many times to stop any taxi or bus nor any private car for help and finally one nice young guy with his white car wished to help us to fulfil my request to drop to Binhai Airport even after several calls to his parents specially to his very kind speak english well mother arranged us to overnight in Binhai Airport area ( our flite would be the next day ).
Then, we went to Binhai Airport with taxi ordered by the old lady hotel owner.
The summary is because most of Tianjin did not know Binhai Airport, even I talked Airport in a dictionary Chinesse word.Binhai Airport availability , since when constructed...what is Binhai Airport called in Chinesse words ? Could somebody help to answer my queries above ?

I wished I could come again to Beijing to see Great Wall....thanks for the info.

Sep. 10,2009 02:07
Mr.Leo replied:

It is surprise that the local people don't know the airport. But, I think the taxi drive must know it clearly. The full name is Tianjin Binhai International Airport (天津滨海国际机场).

Sep. 11,2009 02:47
Ms.Helen liu(China) replied:

Ah,I can answer your question.Because I'm in Tianjin. From Beijin to Tianjin Binhai Airport you should take the train from the Beijing SOUTH Train Station.I think you went to the other stain named Beijing Train Station. They're different! From the Beijing SOUTH Train Station to Tianjin is half an hour. When you arrive at the Tianjin train station, you could take the bus to Binhai Airport.Just like the Skybus in KL.Ah, I know you must be taken the plane in asia air.Welcome to Beijing or Tianjin. If you have any question for travel you can ask me.Because when I travel in KL there are many local people help me.O(∩_∩)O~ my email is:helenliuxy@yahoo.com.cn

Good Afternoon,

I need help/guide to get to Wang Fu Jin Street. After landing into Beijing Airport, is it possible to the Airport Express Train to a stop nearest to Wang Fu jin Street ?? Please advice. I will be travelling in two weeeks time. Other than the A/Port Express Train, I was told there is also a car transportation transfer service offered but i cannot find the web site. Any help there ??

Thank you so much.

Sep. 2,2009 23:19
Mr.Hank replied:

Actually, Airport Express Train is not suggested since the transfer is more complicated than taking a bus. When you arrive in the airport, please follow the signs to take the airport shuttle bus Line 2 and get off at its terminal at Xidan. Then, you will find the entrance to the subway Line 1, by which you could get to Wangfujing street directly.

I think the intro of Beijing transportation will help you a lot. Please see here: http://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/beijing/transportation/

Aug. 12,2009 01:08
Ms.Sisley replied:

The hotel is just located around the Chongwenmen subway station where you could find lots of restaurants. Walking westwards along the Chongwenmen Xi Dajie or southwards along the Chongwen Men Wai Dajie, you could find many good Chinese and western restaurants. The New World Department Store and the Glory Mall around the subway station assemble so many restaurants and snacks, too. Actually, the hotel aslo has several very good restaurants.

I think the best mode of transportation is travel by bullet train (D trains). The whole journey needs 4 hours. Ticket fare is 217/261RMB, much cheaper then air ticket. Take Beijing airport bus Line 3 to Beijing Raiway Station to catch the bullet trains.

Recent, the city has plenty of rainfall although it should be the hottest time during a year. Short-sleeves shirts and jeans are okay. Of course, during the sunny days, pants may be enjoyable and you should protect you from the strong UR.
