The Peak Time of 2008 Spring Festival Transport to Start from Jan. 23rd

News from China Ministry of Railways recently has released the scheme the national railway transport for the coming Chinese Spring Festival to the public. The peak time of railway transport will start from January 23^rd to March 2^nd.  

 

It is predicted that over 178 million passengers will travel through the railway network during the 40-day peak time. From January 23^rd to February 6^th, there will be large flow of passengers in Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Hangzhou stations; from February 7^th to March 2^nd, flows of passengers will concentrate in stations in many cities including Chengdu, Chongqing, Wuhan, Nanchang and Hefei. Therefore, foreign visitors had better avoid going out by train when traveling in China during this period or you may skip this period to come to China.
