1 Volcanoes & Hot Sea in Tengchong - Yunnan
Tengchong on the western border of Yunnan is famous for its natural wonder of volcanoes and thermal springs. Having a thermal spring soak in Hot Sea Park is sure on the top of your schedule. The park with 80 springs surrounded by green mountains is draped in a veil of hot mist. There are ten springs with the temperature of over 90℃ (194℉), including the featured Boling Pot at 97℃ (207℉). Yunnan also has many other hot springs worth visiting, such as the Lugu Lake Hot Spring in Lijiang and Tiansheng Bridge Hot Spring in Diqing.
2 Relaxation in Tangshan Hot Spring - Nanjing
Nanjing, an ancient city in China’s southeast Jiangsu Province, is rich in not only historical sites but also geothermal resources. Tangshan Hot Spring makes Nanjing a wonderful destination for utmost relaxation in winter. Nine springs at a temperature of 50-60℃ (122-140℉) scatter on the southeast slope of the picturesque Mt. Tangshan. The water containing various microelements like calcium and magnesium has a curative effect on arthritis, rheumatics and high blood pressure. Also it can improve the health and beautify the skin!
3 Wonderful Spa & Nocturne at Mt. Yangming - Taiwan
Taiwan off the southeast coast of China is an ideal winter resort owing to the pleasant climate and abundant hot springs. Mt. Yangming is the best choice for a soak. With a temperature above 70℃ (158℉), the spring is alkalescent with light green and yellow due to the sulfur which is good for health. When the night falls, imagine how romantic it is when you comfortably soak in the warm spring in the open air, have the tasty local food, appreciate the silence of the starry night and the stunning night piece of the whole Taipei!

- Lantern Festival: Falling on the 15th day of the 1st lunar month (Feb. 6, 2012), it is also called Yuanxiao Festival or Shangyuan Festival. On that day, Chinese people have Yuanxiao (glutinous rice ball with fillings) and go to various local lantern fairs at night.
- Bullfight Festival of Miao: Bull is the Miao people’s totem for strength and braveness. On the 5th, 15th and 25th day of the 1st lunar month (Jan. 27, Feb. 6 and Feb. 16, 2012), Miao people in Guizhou and Yunnan hold the traditional bullfight activity which is interesting for outcomers.
