Dear Joan and Emma.
We applaud TravelChinaGuide for its excellent choice of guides. Their knowledge and love of their cities enhanced our trip. They were informative, responsive to questions and actively trying to make our trip as good as it could be.
They helped us learn how to bargain wisely, were patient with us as we figured out what to order from the menu and flexible when we had special needs or desires.
They told us stories, were good company as we traveled around and tried, to the best of their ability, to satisfy our curiosity about the amazing changes taking place in China today.
They are also only a cell phone call away from their main office and were able to get extra help or make changes when necessary. There were many times that their negotiating abilities were critical to the success of a travel experience. For instance, when we were in Tibet, they were literally constructing the road up to the Gandan Monastery as we were going and without the skill of our guide and driver, we would've missed one of the highlight experiences of our entire trip. They managed to get the back hoe to flatten huge piles of dirt so we could drive through a blocked area!
I would highly recommend them for travel in China and Tibet.
Yours Sincerely
Jane Alexander Stewart
