Nanyuan Airport (南苑机场 Nányuàn Jīchǎng, IATA: NAY) is a former military airfield 17km to the south of Beijing, currently used only by army-linked low-cost operator China United (中国联合 Zhōngguó Liánhé) [18]. China United currently fields daily flights to Harbin, Dalian, Sanya, Chongqing, Chengdu, and Wuxi. Free shuttle buses run from China United's ticket office to and from the Xidan Aviation Building (西单民航大厦 Xīdān Mínháng Dàshà). Times depend on flight schedules.

After a short trip in Beijing city, i have some travel tips for thoses who plane to travel
in China.

1. A local guide can be very helpful in touring sites, making arrangements and acting as a middle-man translator.

2. When take taxi by yourself, please make sure you tell the taxi drivers to put the meter on and that you want a receipt, so you will not be over charged. And if you lost anything in the car, you can retrieve it by the receipt.

3. Be prepared to bargain for items when shopping, give 20-30% of what the shop keepers price is.

4. Bring little packages of kleenex to use in the toilets, most of the toilets does not offer that.

5. Be careful with your personal items, there are huge crowds of people everywhere

6. If you want to visit the Great Wall, i would like to suggest the Mutianyu section of the Wall, it is spectacular and suposedly less touristy.

7. Last, bring an open mind, things are different and not necessarily as sanitary as in the Western world.
