Day 01: Arrival in Huangshan
Our guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area at Huangshan Airport and transfer you to the hotel. Visit the Tunxi Old Street, time permitting.

Transfer you to the foot of the mountain. As you begin to take the cable car to the mountain, you will find yourself among the magnificent scenery. Enjoy the view of the Beginning-to-Believe Peak, the Peach Blossom Valley, the Lion Peak, the Flying-over Rock, the Bright Summit, the Cloud-dispelling Pavilion and the Xihai Grand Canyon. Take the cable car again to arrive at the foot of the mountain and go back to Huangshan city.

Day 03: Huangshan - Yixian County - Shexian County - Huangshan
Drive to Yixian County. Visit the fantastic Hongcun Village and Nanping village. Transfer to Shexian County. Visit the Tangyue Archways. Return to Huangshan.

Day 04: Departure from Huangshan
See off.

I don't know if that information is somewhere hidden already, but I didn't find it before I left for Huangshan so I'm just going to share it with you:
There are direct buses from Huangshan-Tangkou to Hongcun.. for Hongcun you don't need a permit and it is really worth going and spending the night there, especially if you did something crazy like we did (taking the way up, the complete western loop in one day, then sleeping on the floor and taking the steps down the next day.. all that after spending 3 days in trains already...)...
One bus leaves at 13:30, the scenery is also really nice.. it takes about 1,5 hours and costs 13 yuan I think...

The best place for visiting sunrise is Lion Peak. The Shilin Hotel is the nearest hotel to Lion Peak, but it is not so good as Xihai Hotel or Beihai Hotel. The Xihai Hotel maybe the best hotel on the mountain.
Xihai Hotel provides free parkas in each room for watching the sunrise in the cold morning.
The last bus from Yixian to Tunxi departs at 5:00pm.
The cable car in Mt. Huangshan operating time:9:00am-16:30pm each day.
All foreign visitors need travel visa/ permits for visiting Yixian(Hongcun Village and Nanping Village, rmb50.00/person)
Good restaurants recommended in Tunxi: Mieshi Renjia, Xin'an Renjian, International Hotel.
The best place for shopping: Tunxi Old Street
