Day 01Arrival in Chongqing

When your flight lands in Chongqing today, our local guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area at Chongqing Airport and transfer you to register in the hotel for a two-night stay. After having an abundant lunch, you will go to visit the General Joseph W. Stilwell Museum, which was constructed on the base of this friendly American General's former residence. During Word War II, he has made great contribution to the antifascist war of Chinese people. In the museum, you could see the General's bedroom, office, meeting rooms, scripts and other daily goods. The next destination is Chongqing Zoo where you could see those cute giant pandas playing, sleeping and eating freely.

Dazu Grottoes, Chongqing

Day 02Chongqing - Dazu - Chongqing

Today you will go to Dazu County for a whole day tour. It is the birthplace of the amazing Dazu Rock Carvings which were created from the late Tang Dynasty (618~907) to the early Song Dynasty (960~1127). With the theme of Buddhism, Dazu cliffside carvings are distributed in Beishan, Baodingshan, Nanshan, Shimenshan and Shizhuanshan. You will spend the day visiting Baodingshan Carvings located about 527 meters above sea level. It mainly consists of the Dafowan Rock Carvings Area and Xiaofowan Rock Carvings Area. There are about 10,000 statues of Buddha carved on the 500-meter cliff in the U-shape Dafowan. It is said to be a long narrative mural with plenty of commentary but no repeated content. If interested, you could walk to the nearby shopping street where imitated statues and other handicrafts are sold. While the tour ends, we will drive you back to Chongqing and you can enjoy the rest of the day on your own.

Day 03Chongqing Exit

Free time before departure is on your own leisure. Later, our guide will transfer you to Chongqing Airport and help you board on the flight. Hope you will have a pleasant trip home!
