Day 01Arrival in Chongqing

Our guide will meet you outside the arrival hall at Chongqing Airport and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.

Day 02Chongqing - Dazu - Chengdu

After a rich breakfast at the hotel, we will drive you to Dazu County to visit Dazu Rock Carvings. In the county, there are more than 40 sites of rock carvings housing about 50,000 statues, among which Baoding Rock Carvings are the most notable one. It consists of 13 groups of stone figures, totaling nearly 10,000 vivid cliffside statues. Then you will head to Chengdu by car and check in the hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to have a good rest or explore the city on your own.

Day 03Chengdu - Leshan - Mt. Emei

The car will transfer you to Leshan to visit Leshan Giant Buddha. Located at the infall of Min River, Qingyi River, and Dadu River, Leshan Giant Buddha is a 71-meter-high stone carving of a sitting Buddha. The huge Buddha was carved during the 90 years from 713 to 803 in the Tang Dynasty, but still remains its original magnificence. Tonight, you will stay at the hotel in Mt. Emei.

Day 04Mt. Emei - Chengdu

Today will be spent in climbing up Mt. Emei. With its highest peak of 3,099 meters, Mt. Emei is standing in the southwest of Chengdu Plain, like a huge green screen. The mountain is well-known for the abundant plants, rich Buddhist culture and the lovely monkeys. You will specially visit Baoguo Temple and Wannian Temple. Baoguo Temple is the largest temple on Mt. Emei, and is the center of Buddhist activities of the mountain. Surrounded by red walls and dense trees, the temple boasts three treasures, including the huge porcelain Buddha, the big bronze bell and Huayan Bronze Pagoda. Wannian Temple is another renowned temple on Mt. Emei. Wuliang Hall (Beamless Hall) in the temple was constructed with bricks in the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), without one beam or column. As the tour ends, you will return to Chengdu and check in the hotel again.

Pandas of China

Day 05Chengdu - Wolong/Bifengxia - Chengdu

You will visit the pandas in Bifeng Gorge Panda Base in Ya'an, which is the new home of the pandas in Wolong National Natural Reserve. As Wolong National Natural Reserve was destroyed by the earthquake and is under construction, the pandas as well the breeding stuff were immigrated to Bifengxia Natural Reserve. Now it is the largest panda reserve centre in the world with hi-tech equipments and more desirable environment. In the late afternoon, you will get back to Chengdu.

Day 06Departure from Chengdu

In the morning, you will visit the Tomb of Wang Jian, who was the first King of the Shu Kingdom during the Five Dynasties and Ten States (907 - 960). Here, you could learn the special culture and history of the area. Your tour will come to the end today. Our guide will see you off at the airport for your return flight. Wish a pleasant trip home!
