Yabuli Skiing Resort, Harbin

If you want to while away time during your Winter Holiday, take a trip to Harbin, the so-called "Oriental Paris" making it equally enjoyable to visit in Summer. The city center is situated approximately 30 kilometers from the airport, where you can take a shuttle bus to the centre, the bus fare is about CNY15. A sightseeing bus is readily available in the city for you to reach the key tourist attractions. There is also an option to take a taxi if you perfer. You can visit Sun Island and enjoy the super snow carvings and sculptures, observe groups of Manchu Tigers in the Tiger Park, wander along Central Street. If you want to sample the authentic Russian cuisine, you've come to the right place in China. You shouldn't resist the temptation of different kinds of delicacies. In the evening, you can go to see the snow lights exhibition.

Get up early on the second morning and prepare to set off for the ski resort – Yabuli. It is about 193 kilometers from Harbin. The best time to ski is from mid November to the March. You can take the soft seat train N11 departing at 07: 32 or 10: 39, the fare is CNY50. If you prefer to take a bus, you can enjoy the snowscape along the way and the site of the Asia Winter Sports. After you arrive, remember to sample the local cuisine. The estimate is that there are , on average, about 120 days that is suitable for skiing annually. It is the best venue to host the skiing contests for both athletes and leisure travelers. You don't need to pack all your skiing clothes and equipment as there are rental outlets there.  Besides skiing, you can also relax and savour the wine in the pubs, have fast food, buy some souvenirs in the shops. The First Aid service, telephone and satellite TV are also available here. Therefore, you will never have the feeling of being isolated from the outside world. You can also witness the  a group of Holland style villa. It is an adventurous experience to take the cable car to the Sanguokui Mountain to see the Totem Forest which will cost CNY120 and then go off through slideway. Yubuli is about 350 kilometers away from Xuexiang – the Snow Town. After having a good time here, you are advised to take bus to Mudanjiang, which only take about  two hours. Have an overnight stay in a comfortable hotel.

Skiing in Harbin

After breakfast, take a 4-5 hours bus ride to Xuexiang. On the way to the destination, you can appreciate the white world covered with snow. After lunch, your memory of childhood will be evoked when you can have the snowball fights, and make snowmen. If you want to visit Snow Sculptures, you need to pay another CNY20. After dinner, join the campfire party.

On the fourth day, head for the ski training base “Bayi” Skiing Resort and see how they practice the figure skating. You will also have the chance to take photos with them. After lunch, you may return to Harbin and have the tour ends.
