I just wanted to list the transport from and to Hangzhou that there are busses from Pudong Airport (Car Parking Area, leaving the terminal turn left and walk straight ahead) to Hangzhou at 10:00, 12:00, 13:30, 15:30, 17:30, 19:30 and from Hangzhou (Yellow Dragon Sports Center, that's where the Tourist Busses leave as well) to Pudong Airport at 7:00, 8:30, 10:30, 12:30, 14:30, 16:00. The fare is 100RMB, the trip takes about three hours (more during the afternoon rush hour).

One of the best things to do on arrival to Hangzhou is to head for Paradise Cafe located on Hubin Road right next to West Lake. Here you will be able to get your bearings while you sip a cup of coffee out on the patio and have a read of Hangzhou's "More" Magazine. Inside you will find tips on where to eat, shop and what to see. Picking up one of these FREE Mags will make a tour plan of the city simple, and the handy map inside will help direct you.

2-day suggested itinerary in Hangzhou

Day 1: West Lake
1) Get up really early and climb around Baoshi Hill - stop by the Taoist temple and the Baochu Pagoda
2) Get some breakfast
3) Take a boat ride from the north side of the lake to the south, stopping at Small Yingzhou Island, Mid-Lake Pavillion, and getting off the boat at Huagang Guanyu
4) Get lunch at the Cantonese place across from Huagang Guanyu if you have money
5) Go back across the street to Huagang Guanyu and wander the park, then walk through the parks along the south side of the lake heading east towards the city- parks include Orioles Singing in the Willows, etc.
6) Rest and have some tea
7) Go to Wushan Square area for dinner, then walk along the shops of Hefang Street after dinner
8) Head back towards the lake from Wushan Square area, take evening stroll in Xihu Tiandi, get some coffee, go to bed

Day 2: "Somewhere else"
1) Morning bike ride OR Lingyin Temple OR the Yanggong Causeway area (Lotuses at Quyuan Courtyard/Guo's Villa, Flower Nursery etc).

3) From Meijiawu, go to Yunxi Bamboo Forest and wander around the forest. From here, if you like climbing hills, you can walk all the way up hundreds of steps and then head back down the hill near the river right by 6 Harmonies' Pagoda, or you can just get a cab from Meijiawu near the bamboo forest direct to 6 Harmonies'

5) Dinner at north side of the lake plus stroll along Bai Causeway at night after dinner with all the lights shining on Baoshi Hill (lights are only turned on on Thur/Fri/Sat/Sun nights but the Bai Causeway stroll will still be nice)
