It will be a nice place for visitors to know the development of Buddhism in Yunnan during ancient times.

Dali Old Town -The history of Dali Old Town can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty when Dali was the capital of Nanzhao Kingdom. However, the current city was originally built in 1382 during the Ming Dynasty. In 1982, the city gate was rebuilt and the two characters 'Da Li' was the handwriting of Guo Moruo, a famous litterateur and poet of China. Nowadays, the Fuxing Road that goes through the South City Gate and the North City Gate has become a prosperous market street, selling marble, bandhnu and jewelry.

Since then, the scenic area around the temple has become a well-known Taoist attraction of Yunnan.

Daguan Park - The Daguan Park in Kunming is located on the bank of the Dianchi Lake and faces the Western Hills which are on the other side of the lake. It is said that the original site of the Daguan Park was a small temple built by a monk for giving Buddhist lessons. Hi, will be going to Shangri-la at the end of November. Any advice on what to bring other than winter clothes? More concern over the high altitude that will cause discomfort/difficulty in breathing, are there anything that I should be bringing to ease the discomfort? or what can I if chest tightness/difficulty in breathing happens?
Thanks

Mr.Rufus replied:

You can ask your doctor for some medicine to take with you. If possible, you can bring a tin of oxygen with you. When you feel discomfortable seriously, it can help you. Too avoid or ease the high altitude sickness, you'd better no shower on the first one or two days arriving there. The most important thing: do not travel alone! so that there is someone to help you when need.

I feel sorry to tell you that you can not apply for visa upon arrival in China, people of Non-Chinese Nationality need to get your valid visa beforehand. The special effects of the toothpaste on travel

The toothpaste is a must thing you would take during travel. It can not only clean the teeth, but also has much other usage during travel. For example:

If you hurt yourself during travel, you could daub the toothpaste on the cut, which can diminish inflammation and hemostasis.

If you happened to be bitten by the bee, toothpaste could dispel turgescence.

It can also restrain from itch if you are bitten by the mosquitos or insects.

If you feel headache or light-headed, you could also paste that on your temple, which could make you feel better.

The high altitude can cause some headache and discomfort, so travellers who would like to visit this area, please do some precaution in advance. Also please put some warm clothes on van, in case that you catch cold by the unpleasant weather. This is my sincere personal suggestion after travel there.
