Langyatai in Qingdao

In the first day, take a ferry from Qingdao to Huangdao district. The ferry operates from 6:30 to 21:00 and it will set out every 30 minutes. Take No. 8 bus from Qingdao Sifang Railway Station to Qingdao Ferry Station. Upon your disembarking the ferry, please take Huangdao No. 12 bus directly to Zhushan Forest Park. It is a national forest park, authorized by the State Forestry Bureau in 2000. With its picturesque scenery and unique natural beauty, it becomes a new type of ecological and cultural tourist resort along Jiaozhou Bay. Zhushan Mountain has the highest peak among the west bank of Qingdao. The mountain changes its aspect at every turn. There are Cuckoo Valley, Zhushan Lake, Fox Spirit cave, Ostrich Zoo etc. Such beautiful vista with the fresh air makes this place a wonderland. Apart from the natural beauty, there are still a lot of historic relics preserved here, such as the Ancient Qi Great Wall with more than 2500 years old and the White Cloud Temple built in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) are the most worthwhile.

In the afternoon, visit the Qingdao Safari Park, located in the same area with Zhushan Forest Park. Because of the natural environment, together with the scientific research and leisure activities that's ongoing at the site, this park is actually a large theme park. It includes White Dover Square, Parrot Park, Hippodrome, Monkey Hill, Peacock Park, Panda Zoo, Performance Center, Opening dinning room etc. You may stroll along or take the sightseeing coach to have access to these wildlife conveniently. In order to offer more pleasant experience to visitors, the park operates more activities such as bullfight, cockfight etc. The entrance fee for the Safari Park is CNY60. After the one day tour, get back to Huangdao district and take the regular bus to Jiaonan city and stay overnight there. Many of the hotels in Jiaonan are 3-star, 2-star or 1-star. You can easily find your preferred one. You are advised to stay at the Baiguoshu Hotel with the best location to all the beautiful sceneries.

Lingshan Island, Qingdao

On the second day, visit Lingshan Island. You need to take Lingshanhao Passenger Liner ship from Jimiya Port to Lingshan Island. Usually the ship will set outat 9:00am and get back from Lingshan Island at 14:30. You' better bear the schedule time in mind. The round trip tickets is CNY40 per person. Lingshan Island is reputed as the highest Island in elevation North of Yangtze River. It is also called as the "wondrous screen on the sea". It is the home of all kinds of birds. You can also take an adventure to the Fucui Pavilion, Wanghai Tower, abrasion geomorphy etc.

On returning to Jiaonan city, you can take the tourist special line bus to Langyatai at Jiaonan Coach Station. The First Emperor Qinshihuang in Qin Dynasty (221-206 B.C.) had been to Langyatai three times and he also sent Xufu to cross over to the East (Present Janpan) to find the elixir for eternal life for him. Xufu started his journey from Langyatai. Hence it became famous throughout the country. There you can visit the sculptures of Xufu and his attendants and Xufu Temple. In the north part of the resort, Long Bay is 5.6 kilometers long and the beautiful Bathing Beach attracts many people to come here every year.
