Descriptions:
The Bund - The Bund ("Wai Tan" in Chinese) is a must-see tourist attraction on the bank of Huangpu River. The name “Bund” derived from an Anglo-Indian term, means "a muddy embankment”. Over 150 years ago, Shanghai was a small coastal town on the bank of the Huangpu River. The Bund area was merely a towpath with a wide waterfront. In 1842, as the result of the Opium War, Shanghai was opened up as gateway to the West. The Bund became a crucial waterfront after foreigners flocked here to do business.

Day 03Huangshan

Transfer to the foot of the Huangshan mountain. As you begin to take the cable car to climb the front mountain, you will find yourself among the magnificent scenery. Enjoy the view of the Beginning-to-Believe Peak, the Peach Blossom Valley, the Lion Peak, the Flying-over Rock and the Bright Summit. Check in at the hotel on the mountain.(B+L)

Descriptions: Beginning-to-Believe Peak - Beginning-to-Believe Peak is a must-see attraction of most tourists. As its name suggests, you will really begin to believe that the scenery of Mt. Huangshan is captivating. It is renowned for the numerous grotesque rocks and pines. The shaped rocks hanging on the steep cliffs and the deep valleys create a charming natural painting.

Lion Peak - Situated in the west of the Beginning-to-Believe Peak, the Lion Peak is about 1,690 meters (5,545 feet) high in altitude. The rock at the peak is exposed, like a powerful lion crouching on the mountains. Climbing to the peak, tourists can have an ideal bird view of the many attractions such as the Begin-to-Believe Peak and the Bright Summit.

Flying-over Rock - Like its intriguing name, Flying-over Rock is a natural wonder. It is actually a 39-feet-high, 8-meter-long, and about 360-ton piece of rock that is balanced on a tiny flat ledge. The space between the two large pieces of rock is very small. The erecting rock is just like flying over from the heaven, hence its name Flying-over Rock. Geologists think it is craft created by Mother Nature. It is typical of Mt. Huangshan's improbable natural beauty.

How long and how much does it cost to travel to/from Shanghai to Huangshan by air or by train? How long does it take to drive from Shanghai to Zhouzhuang by car, and how much would a car cost?

Mr.Carson replied:

It takes one hour to take flight from Shanghai to Huangshan, while the train takes about 12 hours. From Shanghai to Zhouzhuang, the car transfer is about 2 hours if the traffic is fine. Have no idea about the cost, sorry

Tina replied:

Sir, this tour can be arranged no matter how many persons will take the tour. However, since you will travel alone, the quotation will be higher than the one on the website for you will enjoy the service of one guide, one car, one hotel room and other service solely instead of two or more persons to share it.
