Enjoying the fame as China's Most Famous Street, Changan Avenue is considered to be the widest and longest street all over the world. Actually, this street is only 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) long, but it is so straight that it seems to be limitless from one end as far as the eye could reach. Demarcated by the Tiananmen Square, the eastern and western parts are named as East Changan Avenue and West Changan Avenue respectively. It is the east-west axes of the Beijing City, connected with a series of streets.
