Located in the center of the ancient Beijing City, Dashilan (dashilanr) Street is a well-known commercial street to the west of the Qianmen Street and to the south of the Tiananmen Square in Beijing. It originated from the Yuan Dynasty (1271 - 1368), established in the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644) and thrived from the Qing Dynasty (1644 -1911) until present. Through over 500 years’ development, it has been full of shops of all walks of life on both sides.
