Dazu Rock Carvings

Dazu Grottoes, together with the Longmen Grottoes in Luoyang, the Magao Caves in Dunhuang, Gansu Province; and the Yungang Grottoes in Shanxi Province, which were listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1999, are reputed as the four greatest stone sculpture treasure troves in China.
