   Lanzhou
Located on the upper reaches of the Yellow River, Lanzhou is the only city that the Yellow River flows through the downtown. The city lies at the foot of mountains and beside the river, which forms a unique city view. Additionally, the city boasts a very brilliant history. It’s an important stop along the historical Silk Road. A lot of Chinese ancient discoveries were introduced to the western countries via Lanzhou.


   Tianshui
Tianshui is a city of temples. From the pictures of Fu Xi Statue, Buddha statues, murals, and the zigzagging plank road along the steep cliffs, we can understand how deep the religious thought has permeated the city.

Tianshui is the birthplace of Chinese ancestor Fu Xi. Fu Xi lived in Neolithic age. In the legend, he married his sisiter Nu Wa to reproduce human beings. He created Bagua (Eight Diagrams), invented fishing net and taught humans to make fire.

Here, you can see the Bronze Galloping Horse, Leitai Han Tombs, Wooden Pagoda, Haizang Temple and Confucius Temple (Wen Miao) in Wuwei City. The city is a necessary way from Lanzhou to the Hexi Corridor (the corridor west of the Yellow River). It's a very important stop on the ancient Silk Road. In history, it witnessed the moment when Tibet reunited with Chinese nation.


   Xiahe
Xiahe is colored a piece of cool greenness by the boundlessly luxuriant Sangke Prairie, whose vast territory can remove any sorrow from the hearts of urbanites.

On the way to Labrang Monastery, the photographer saw many pilgrims. They vary from old to young. In Tibetans' life, pilgrimage is the most glorious cause.
