The Yellow River flows through downtown Lanzhou. Along the river, you can find many open-air teahouses. The locals would like to enjoy a cup of Sanpaotai (tea with dried dates, dried longans, Chinese wolfberries and candies), listening to the Long (short for Gansu) Opera. Additionally, the locals are fond of food made of flour. Among those, Beef Noodles (Lanzhou Niurou Lamian) are their favorite meal.
