- The Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces (Longji Titian) is a general designation of the terraces in Longji Village and Ping'an Village in Longsheng, Guangxi. The terraces have different appearances in the four seasons. In spring, peasants pour plenty of water into the terraces. They look like lines of silver necklaces. In summer, rice grows very well and the terraces become a large area of green. In fall, rice turns yellow. Peasants have a golden harvest. In winter, snow dresses them in white clothes. Ms.Lily replied:
The peasants usually pour water on every April 15 according to Chinese lunar calendar. It usually lasts half a month. So you’d better go there in May and June.
