Sun Yat-sen, originally named Sun Wen, is the forthgoer of Chinese modern revolution, a famous revolutionist, politician and theorist. People respectfully call him the Father of China. He passed away in 1925 for cancer. To commemorate this great people, Zhongshanling (the Mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen) was built on the Zhongshan Mountain, Nanjing City in 1926. In 1929, the coffin of Sun Yat-sen was moved from Beijing to Nanjing and buried in Zhongshanling. Attraction Intro: Mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen

The 480-meter-long and 50-meter-wide stairway that has 392 steps is leading to the vault, with high pine trees, cypress trees and gingko trees guarding the way on both sides-Mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen.
