Sun Yat-sen, originally named Sun Wen, is the foremost pioneer of China's modern revolution, a famous revolutionist, politician and theorist. People respectfully call him the Founding Father of Republican China. He passed away from cancer in 1925. To commemorate this great leader, Zhongshanling (the Mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen) was built on the Zhongshan Mountain, Nanjing City in 1926. In 1929, Sun Yat-sen's coffin was moved from Beijing to Nanjing and buried in Zhongshanling. Attraction Intro: Mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen

The 480-meter-long and 50-meter-wide stairway that has 392 steps is leading to the vault, with high pine trees, cypress trees and gingko trees guarding the way on both sides-Mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen.
