The Li Garden lies on the western bank of the Li Lake, 2.5 kilometers southwest of Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. It's said that in the Spring and Autumn Period (770 BC-476 BC) the scholar-bureaucrat of Yue State, Fan Li, with his the beauty Xi Shi boated there. To commemorate Fan Li, people named the lake Li. The Li Garden got the name for the Li Lake. The garden is surrounded by water on three sides. You can see green hills in the distance and at close range the dike, long corridor and rockery.
