We are planning to travel to Xi'an in early February 2010. I expect it to be cold at that time, but not sure whether the weather will allow us to spend one or two days in Hua Shan and take the cable car up and down hill. Any advice?

Actually, it is not suggested that you visit Huashan Mountain in chilly winter. If you insist, please ensure that you will do preparation well and learn the mountains (route, transportation) in advance. During some dangerous time, the mountain may be close to public.

Thanks Jane. That's good advice. We may have to be flexible -- depend on the weather once we arrive at Xi'an.
