- The murals painted on the walls of temples, grottoes and tombs are important parts of the paintings of Tang Dynasty (618-907).The murals were vividly painted by the craftsmen of Tang Dynasty, depicting the true aspects of people's social lives of that period. The Shaanxi Provincial Museum houses over 400 mural paintings excavated from over 20 tombs of Tang Dynasty.


The skillful painter caught the spirit of this princess whose facial features were clearly showed on the fresco.
