Hanging Monastery Photos
Located in the Hunyuan County of Datong, the Hanging Monastery lies at the foot of the Mount Hengshan. It hangs on the west cliff of the Jinxia Gorge which is over 50 meters above the ground, thus called Hang Monastery. Originally constructed in 491, the monastery was largely rebuilt and restored during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Attraction Intro: Hanging Monastery
