Wuhou Memorial Temple is built to honor Zhuge Liang, the Minister of the King of Shu in the Three Kingdoms Period (220 - 280). Zhuge Liang is a household name in China as he was the personification of intelligence and nobility. His loyalty and dedication have always been widely praised in China. Wuhou Memorial Temple, located in the south of Chengdu, is dedicated to the memory of Liu Bei (161-223), Emperor of the Kingdom of Shu in the Three Kingdoms Period (220-280), and Zhuge Liang (181-234), Prime Minister of the kingdom.
