- Jiuzhaigou Valley is a 40-kilometer-long valley that is located in Nanping County, over 400 kilometers to the north of Chengdu City. It got its name for the existence of nine Tibetan villages. The scenic area is famous for its stunning natural scenery, a combination of the spectacular waterfalls, verdant virgin forests, blue lakes and snow-capped mountain and the Tibetan fork customs.

Has anyone been to this area in early July? What was your experience of the climate? The tourist websites make it out to be temperate even through summer. Is that your experience?
