Dear Sir/Madam, I am a United States citizen wishing to travel from Nepal to Lhasa, Tibet, and then on to Beijing. I already have obtained a multiple entry Chinese Visa in Hong Kong. Will this be sufficient for my entry into Tibet, or must the Chinese Visa be from Nepal in order to enter that place? Also, can I obtain the special Travel Permit in Nepal? Thank you kindly.

Mr.Russell, you needn't get a China visa from Nepal, but you can obtain Travel Permit in Nepal, then holding the multiple entry Chinese Visa you get in Hong Kong and the Travel Permit, you can enter that holy place.
